Routine Eye Exams & Optical

We will help you see better and detect and manage eye disease

What is a comprehensive eye exam

Under a vision plan, a comprehensive eye exam focuses primarily on evaluating your visual performance and prescription needs, while also checking the general health of your eyes. During the exam, the optometrist measures how clearly you see at distance and near, determines whether you need glasses or contact lenses, and assesses how well your eyes focus and work together. The exam also includes a screening evaluation of the eyes to identify common conditions that may affect vision, such as refractive errors, early cataracts, or other visible abnormalities. Vision plans are designed to support routine eye care and prescription updates; if a medical eye condition is identified or requires additional testing or treatment, those services may be billed separately under medical insurance. In short, routine eye exams are to measure and asses vision and diagnosis and treat refractive error (myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, presbyopia) to help you see better. They are also opportunities to screen for medical problems that need to be addressed medically with your medical insurance. Occasionally, we may not be in network with your medical plan and have to refer you to another office.

Advanced Testing

An Optos is a very wide angle photograph that can be taken through an undilated pupil and allow an eyecare professional to see the majority of your retina and optic nerve. The advantage of an Optos photo is that it can speed up a visit, prevent having to come back for a repeat visit just for dilation, and allows people the ability to avoid the inconvenience of having their eyes dilated. These photos are not covered by vision plans, but they are available for your convenience for $40 on your comprehensive eye exam visits

Optical Sevices

An optical is the part of an eye care practice where you select and receive your glasses and lens options after your exam. It’s where prescriptions are thoughtfully turned into eyewear that fits your vision needs, lifestyle, and personal style. Our optical is designed to make that experience easy and enjoyable—not rushed or overwhelming. We offer a carefully curated selection of frames, high-quality lenses, and modern lens technology, all guided by knowledgeable opticians who take the time to explain options clearly and help you find what truly works for you. From personalized fittings to a welcoming, well-designed space, our optical is meant to feel less like shopping and more like being well cared for—so you leave confident, comfortable, and seeing your best.
