Arvind Saini MD MBA

Dr. Saini is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and Fellowship trained cornea specialist. He specializes in cataract surgery and corneal transplantation, including partial-thickness corneal transplants (DSAEK, DMEK). He was born in Madison Wisconsin and was inspired to be an ophthalmologist by his grandmother, who underwent cataract surgery and a corneal transplant when he was a child. He was also influenced by an ophthalmologist in his hometown of Madison Wisconsin, who traveled internationally to perform charitable surgery. He knew from a young age that he wanted to restore people's vision from reversible blindness.
He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he triple majored, achieved high honors in the College of Letters and Science, and was a finalist for the Universities Rhodes scholarship selection. Dr. Saini continued his education in medical school at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was president of his class and also obtained his Master of Business from the Wharton School of Business. After completing his internship at the University of Pennsylvania he completed his ophthalmology residency at Loma Linda University, where he was a chief resident and completed the Navy's refractive surgery training course. He then pursued fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at Wills Eye Hospital, the country’s first eye hospital. Since completion of his formal training, he has learned ultra-thin corneal transplantation (DMEK) at the Netherlands Institute of Innovative Ocular Surgery and has continued to work on research. He currently holds the title of assistant professor at Loma Linda University. He has been named in numerous physician recognition publications, such as “Leading Physicians of the World”, “Guide to America’s Top Ophthalmologists”, and was selected as a “Rising Star” in Los Angeles Magazine, and a “Top Doctor” in San Diego Magazine.
Dr. Saini has also remained active with professional organizations locally, state-wide, and nationally. He has served on the board of directors for the San Diego Eye Bank and is currently in the Executive committee as Treasurer. In the past he was on the Board of the Wisconsin Academy of Ophthalmology, and the board and executive committee of the California Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. He was selected to the Leadership Development Program of the Eye Bank Association of America (EBAA) and the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO). He is clinical spokesman for the AAO and has served on the AAOs technology committee, young ophthalmologist committee, and communications secretariat. He is currently the chair of the product development committee of the AAO and sits on the steering committee of the Eyecare America committee for the AAO. He has won the AAOs “Achievement Award”, “Secretariate Award” twice, and the “Senior Achievement Award”. Dr. Saini also was selected to sit on the Board of Directors of Ophthalmic Mutual Insurance Company (OMIC), which insures over sixty percent of the ophthalmologists in the country.
Dr. Saini strongly believes in community service and using ophthalmology to help those in need. He participates in the AAO Eyecare America Program and Partners for Health. Both programs help patients without insurance receive eyecare. He also has volunteered his surgical services abroad in the Philippines, India, and Myanmar.
Dr. Saini prides himself on treating patients honestly, and in the same way that he would like his family members treated. He tries to ensure that patients have all of their surgical and non-surgical options explained to them, and that they do not feel pressured into elective surgery or expensive unnecessary cataract surgery upgrades. In his free time, Dr. Saini enjoys playing golf, tennis, gardening, and spending time with his wife, two sons, and daughter.

Elizabeth Hofmeister MD

Dr. Hofmeister is a Pennsylvania native who has lived in Southern California since 1997, thanks to a 31-year career in the U.S Navy. The daughter of a registered nurse and a nurse anesthetist, Dr. Hofmeister set her sights on becoming a doctor during high school, and was one of a select few officers allowed to pursue a medical degree upon her graduation with distinction from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1989. She received her Doctorate of Medicine from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in 1993, and completed an Internal Medicine internship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda. She then moved to Pensacola, Florida, where she received her Flight Surgery gold wings from the Naval Aerospace Medicine Institute, and then served as a flight surgeon on Marine Corps Base Hawaii for two years. Her grandmother's blindness from severe glaucoma and macular degeneration inspired her to seek a career in ophthalmology. She completed her ophthalmology residency training at Naval Medical Center San Diego, where she was among the Navy's first surgeons trained to perform PRK and LASIK. She then pursued fellowship training in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia.
Following fellowship training, she returned to Naval Medical Center San Diego, where she served as faculty until 2020 While on faculty, she deployed many times, including humanitarian missions on the hospital ship USNS Mercy, and a deployment to a combat zone in Afghanistan as the Deputy Command Surgeon of-the Combined Security Transition Command in 2009.She has served in many leadership roles, including Ophthalmology Residency Program Director, Refractive Surgery Center Director, Ophthalmology Department Chairman, and the Navy's Refractive Surgery Advisor from 2010 until 2020.Dr. Hofmeister's clinical interests as a Cornea Specialist include the treatment of dry eyes, viral and bacterial eye infections, and keratoconus. She performs cataract surgery, corneal crosslinking, full-thickness and partial-thickness (DSAEK, DMEK) corneal transplants. As a refractive surgeon, she has performed over 9,000 PRK, LASIK, and SMILE procedures, and is experienced with implantable collamerlens (ICL) surgery and refractive lens exchange. She is also one of the leading teachers of refractive surgery in the United States, having trained over 60 residents and fellows from three residency programs in her 21 years as a Navy Ophthalmologist. Dr. Saini even trusted Dr. Hofmeister to perform LASIK on him and his wife.
An avid researcher, Dr. Hofmeister was an investigator on many studies of refractive surgery, with a focus on best practices, new technologies, and the safety of refractive surgery in patients with physically demanding jobs or austere work environments. She was the principal investigator on the landmark Patient-reported Outcomes with LASIK(PROWL) study, conducted with the FDA to assess patients' satisfaction with LASIK.
Dr. Hofmeister is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, the Society of Military Ophthalmologists, and the American Society of Ocular Trauma. She is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Se Nice University of the Health Sciences, and while in the Navy, held Adjunct Faculty Positions at the University of California San Diego, and Loma Linda University. Some of her most gratifying moments have occurred during humanitarian surgical missions to Papua New Guinea, Fiji, the Philippines, and Honduras, where she performed manual small-incision cataract surgery, allowing patients formerly blind from cataracts to see their loved ones again. A highlight was her volunteer mission to Honduras, where her daughter provided Spanish translation with the surgical technicians in the operating room. An accomplished vocalist and pianist, Dr. Hofmeister has performed with many amateur groups, and provides weekly music at her church. She loves hiking and travelling with her husband, who is also a physician. -

Dr. Puneh Baha is a Board-Certified Medical Optometrist with over 25 years of experience serving patients throughout the San Diego region. A California native raised in Agoura Hills, she knew from a very young age that she wanted to help people with their vision. After receiving her first pair of glasses at age eight and experiencing the life-changing clarity that vision correction can bring she had discovered an early passion for eyecare.
Dr. Baha attended California State University, Northridge, where she conducted research on retinoblastoma, a rare cancer of the eye. She then earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, graduating with clinical honors, and completed an additional bachelor’s degree in Visual Science.
Since graduating in 2000, Dr. Baha has practiced in a variety of clinical settings in the San Diego area. One of the biggest highlights of her professional career was when she opened her own practice in 2010 in the Del Mar area. She built a lively and successful practice from the ground up. After building the practice, due to the needs of her three children, she sold her practice, and continued to practice part-time. Her kids are now all successfully college bound, and the community now knows her old practice as their place for eyecare.
Today, Dr. Baha is proud to call Integrity Eye her professional home, where she continues her passion for vision care taking care of our patients, and also serves part-time as an expert witness for the Board of Optometry. Additionally, Dr Baha has served as an examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. She has also volunteered at the Monarch School in San Diego, examining the eyes of underprivileged children.
Dr. Baha is known for providing thorough, compassionate care. She is a Board-Certified Medical Optometrist who specializes in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease, hard-to-fit contact lenses, managing post operative eyes, and holds full therapeutic privileges.
Outside of the office, Dr. Baha enjoys traveling, walking, hiking, home staging, yoga, and pickleball.

Peter DeGraziano

Dr. DeGraziano is an independent Low Vision Specialist who can schedule to see patients in our office.
Dr. DeGraziano sees patients throughout San Diego County. He is a Low Vision trained optometrist and is a fellow of the International Academy of Low Vision Specialists (IALVS). He is passionate about helping patients suffering with vision loss. Through the use of specialized custom eyeglasses, devices, and vision therapy, Dr. DeGraziano helps Low Vision patients enjoy activities which have become difficult or impossible because of sight-limiting diseases (such as Macular Degeneration). With his help, many of Dr. DeGraziano's patients are able to achieve goals such as reading, watching TV, and even safely driving automobiles.
Dr. DeGraziano was the recipient of several scholarships for his graduate studies, including a full academic scholarship from the United States Navy. He attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where he completed four clinical externships with concentrations in: diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, refractive surgery and pre- and post-operative care, pediatric eye care, and primary care. In 2001, he obtained a Doctorate in Optometry, graduating with Academic Honors. Thereafter, he proudly served as an officer and optometrist in the Navy. He feels privileged to have been trained in Low Vision care by the founder and president of the International Academy of Low Vision Specialists (IALVS) and is honored to have the opportunity to work with and enhance the lives of patients with vision loss. When not working, Dr. DeGraziano enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. For exercise, he swims, hikes, and bikes beautiful San Diego County. Dr. DeGraziano is committed to finding ways to improve his patients' vision and invites anyone with Low Vision to call and discuss their situation.
